London 13/12/11

It has taken me long to post an update, but this is because things have been hectic and very interesting since my move to London in September. Here are some highlights:

I finished mixing Zili Misik’s upcoming album. They got nominated for Best International Artist in the Boston Music Awards 2011.

The mixing for the Lights of Nightmares’ debut album is almost complete. Six of the songs have been sent out to mastering and the first single should be out sometime soon.

I have been working at Smokehouse Studios where I have had the priviledge to assist the great Dennis Weinreich, Steve Orchard, among others.

I also got to help Gwyn Mathias and the rest of the team decommission the Neve VSP and install the Cadac. It was a new experience and a great learning opportunity but I would be glad if I never had to pin another Edac connector in my life.

One of the coolest projects I have been involved in at the Smokehouse is The Sun Biz Sessions I have participated in the Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson, Birdy, and All The Young sessions. These are fast and furious sessions. The best thing is being around some real talent in a very stripped down environment.

It has been a couple of really interesting months! I’m looking forward to the New Year and being busier. If you have a project that needs recording, mixing, producing, orchestrating or arranging please contact me and so we can discuss a possible collaboration.
